Zhong Shan, Minister of Commerce, said that foreign trade this year was facing an unprecedented challenge as the international demand declined sharply because of the pandemic. In order to boost the online business,the State Council approved the establishment of 46 new integrated pilot zones for cross-border e-commerce to promote the stable development of foreign trade on May 7.

The move will help stabilize the fundamental landscape of foreign trade and investment, and catalyze higher-quality development of trade.
